Anonymous asked: Michael, why is the station you list as your local station, KCET not one that shows Sesame Street? It seems if you are leading this group you should know that PBSSoCal has Sesame Street but KCET doesn't show the very thing you seem to be supporting!
Would prefer that you email us if you’d like to have a conversation about this — also so we know who we are talking to. In any case, MPM was created to show support for the entire public media ecosystem, which is more than just PBS itself and definitely more than the specific stations carrying PBS programming. While I wish KCET continued to carry PBS programming, they don’t. KCET is, however, the nation’s largest independent public television station so it is still part of the umbrella that we support. And, yes, we/I/you want to show support for PBSSoCal too.

Here’s just some of my favorite photos from the march. I took over 100 photos…had a lot of fun. The response was great even after the march while walking around the Capitol with friends dressed as muppets, though some people had no idea what it was for, but liked us anyway.

TLC was founded in 1972 by the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare and National Aeronautics and Space Administration - NASA as an informative/instructional network providing real education. It was privatized in 1980. Today TLC airs Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.
